When Survivors Speak, Change Happens!

March 1, 2017

On April 3-4, 2017, hundreds of crime survivors will join state and community leaders in Sacramento for the largest gathering of crime victims in the United States. Held annually during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Survivors Speak brings together crime survivors, particularly from communities most affected by crime, to share stories, honor loved ones, and advocate for smart justice policies that transform our families, communities and the state.

Last year, Survivors Speak brought together more than 500 crime survivors and advocates from across California and featured a keynote address from Governor Jerry Brown. Survivors Speak is organized by Californians for Safety and Justice.
