The Diocese of San Bernardino Office of Restorative Justice will be conducting a Love One Another prayer vigil for the 3-year-old Highgrove girl killed earlier this year reportedly by her mother.
The vigil for Zayla Rank will be held today, Wednesday, April 4 at 5 p.m. at 3440 Cannes Ave.
RE Congress was extra special this year!
Bishop O'Connell celebrated the first restorative justice themed mass on Friday, March 16. It was themed, Restorative Justice: An Act of Mercy. DRJDs Deacons John Storm and Warren Hoy assisted. Over 2,500 people attended and heard Bishop O'Connell's wonderful homily that focused on what is truly important in life - love and compassion. Marty Haugen and Daniel Delgado and the band who provided the awesome music, including, "Teach Us Your Mercy", a piece created especially for this Mass.
Last week 500+ Catholics convened for the annual Catholic Social Ministry Gathering hosted by USCCB's Department of Justice, Peace, and Human Development, along with 16 other departments and agencies. This year the gathering brought together individuals from over 100 dioceses and 45 states. The attendees were a mix of young students and seasoned social activists who have worked for Catholic-related causes for years.
The California Catholic Conference Office of Restorative Justice will be hosting a Bereavement Training in the Aftermath of Violence for FREE!
The Archdiocese of San Francisco will be offering special prayers in more than 90 Church services within the Archdiocese to honor those killed in 2017. A special invitation has been sent to all pastors to offer a special petition (Universal Prayer or Prayer of the Faithful) this Sunday January 14, 2018.
