The Catholic State Chaplains spent the past week in Santa Cruz, CA for their Annual Retreat and Training in Villa Maria del Mar Retreat Center. This was a great time for all the chaplains who work for the state in various departments and agencies across the state. Many of the chaplains present come from the State Prison systems. We were grateful to have been joined by Fr. Matt Spotts, S.J. This was a great time for prayer, spiritual renewal and community.
Below are a few reflections from the Chaplains.
Seems like each year, there is deeper fellowship, friendships and mutural support and encouragement. - Chaplain
Great Opportunity for prayer and reflection, and a gift to ahve someone else lead! The conversations with collegues is invaluable to exchange best practices, draw from others wisdom and to build a supportive network. -Chaplain
